Veteran actress Shabana Azmi shares a little sneak-peek about forthcoming projects, confirms that she is working with Steven Spielberg on Halo series, Shekhar Kapur’s british drama Whats Love Got To Do With It, and Karan Johar directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
Shabana Azmi along with Javed Akhtar, Gurdas Maan, Rakeysh Mehra and Sriram Raghavan among others graced Divya Dutta’s book launch here in Mumbai.
During her interaction with Newshelpline, actress Shabana Azmi opened up about her forthcoming projects, she said, “I was fortunate enough to work through entire lockdown and hopefully next year will be even better. So I did Steven Spielberg’s Halo series, and then I did Shekhar Kapoor’s Whats Love Got To Do With It, opposite Emma Thomson and Lily James. And right I am shooting for Kara Johar’s film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani”
The book is about people who have been an important part of Divya Dutta's professional journey including Amitabh Bachchan, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Gurdas Maan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Gulzar, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Nitin Kakkar, to name a few.
After writing a forward for Divya Dutta’s previous book, Shabana seems pretty impressed with new book.
She said, “The book is just like Divya Dutta; she speaks from heart and does things with heart, she has mentioned people in book whom she has observed, I think the title is also very generous, The Stars In My Sky, she is acknowledging that because of these people my sky is shining brighter. Most actors understand the fact that filmmaking is a collaborative effort and you’re as good as the team which is collaborating with you and this book is an acknowledgment of that”
Further adding, “I am aware of Divya’s writing, I wrote the forward for her previous book. I was so surprised that she penned her new book so soon, for most part I was impressed as well that she utilized lockdown for creatively and constructively” added Shabana.
