Biswanath Chariali, Nov 11: One Sanjib Tanti, a resident of Bejorhola under Sootea police station stabbed his father-in law Sanjib Pator with a ‘dao’ on Wednesday night, following a heated argument. According to the information received, both of them were engaged in a heated argument in the yard of Sanjib Tanti at around 10 PM. Furious, Sanjib Tanti suddenly stabbed his father-in-law in the spur of the moment.
Severely injured Sanjib Pator died on the spot while Sanjib Tanti fled from the scene.
A police team reached the crime scene and seized the ‘dao’ used in the murder. The prime accused of the murder case had surrendered at Sootea PS early on Thursday morning. An investigation is on till the filing of this report.
