Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Friday at 11:21AM

Sikko Industries(up 4.98%), Agro Phos(up 3.88%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 1.55%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 1.24%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 1.08%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 1.01%), KRISHANA(up 0.89%), ZUARIAGRO(up 0.68%), National Fertilizer(up 0.45%) and Madras Fertlizers(up 0.35%) were among the top gainers.

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 1.46%), Coromandel International(down 1.28%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.14%), G S F C(down 0.90%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.51%), Aries Agro(down 0.46%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 0.30%) and Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 0.10%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 78.9 points up at 17952.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 238.67 points at 60158.36 at around 11:21AM.

Tech Mahindra(up 2.33%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 2.31%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.94%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.58%), Infosys(up 1.3%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.27%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.27%), Wipro(up 1.17%), Bajaj Finserv(up 1.17%) and Bharti Airtel(up 0.99%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Bajaj Auto(down 2.45%), Tata Steel(down 1.59%), State Bank of India(down 0.87%), NTPC(down 0.84%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.63%), Indian Oil Corporation(down 0.49%), Shree Cement(down 0.36%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.36%), Axis Bank(down 0.33%) and Tata Motors(down 0.31%) were trading in the red.
