Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 225.91 points up at 60145.60 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, N R Agarwal Ind(down 10.51 per cent), Williamson Magor(down 9.99 per cent), Anuroop Packaging Lt(down 9.97 per cent), Tiaan Ayurvedic & He(down 9.89 per cent) and Shreyas Ship(down 8.89 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 43 stocks traded in the green, while 6 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 79.35 points up at 17952.95.
On the BSE, Tiaan Ayurvedic & He, Vikas WSP, Narayani Steels, JLAInfraville&Shop and Sun Retail hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Bigbloc Const, Shree Hanuman Sugar & Industries Ltd., Asahi Ind Glass, Loyal Textiles and Getalong Enterprises Ltd. touched their fresh 52-week highs.
