NYK organises declamation contest

Kakching, November 11 2021: Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Thoubal organised a block level declamation contest on 'Patriotism and Nation Building' under the topic Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas along with an awareness programme at Moijing in thoubal district on Thursday.

The contest organised for North Western area of Thoubal block was participated by youth in the age group of 18 to 29 years.

Top three winners of the contest will participate in the district level contest, which would be held at a later date.

The contest was organised in relation with the National Education Day 2021, which is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of India's first union minister for education Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, according to NYK Thoubal District Youth Officer Michael Thangminlien Mate.

NYK Thoubal Youth Club members presented educational and motivational speeches on 'importance of education in modern society'; special summary revision 2022 as part of-Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP); and water conservation & rain water harvesting under Catch The Rain Campaign at the event.
