New Delhi, November 11

India today said while it was willing to address the humanitarian needs in Afghanistan, the aid workers needed unimpeded access, which was proving to be a problem currently.

At the Delhi Regional Dialogue on Afghanistan, all the visiting National Security Advisers spoke of the country’s dire predicament, said MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi. However, the aid providers needed to be sure the help was being given without bias, he said, adding the situation in Afghanistan could turn dire with the onset of winters. — TNS
