Bhubaneswar, Nov 12 (UNI) A delegation led by Japan Consul General in Kolkata Nakamura Yutaka
on Friday discussed the potential business tie-ups between Japan and Odisha with officials of the
state run Industrial Promotion & Investment Corporation of Odisha Limited (IPICOL) and Odisha Industrial infrastructure development(IDCO).
The delegation was on a three day visit to Odisha to explore and discuss various partnership opportunities in the state.
On the concluding day of their three day visit to the state Mr. Yutaka met officials of the Industrial Promotion & Investment Corporation of Odisha Limited (IPICOL) & IDCO and discussed the
potential business tie-ups
Japanese Industries are currently shifting their focus from the Northern regions of India to the
eastern parts of the country
Mr Yutaka attributed it to stable governance, seamless connectivity by sea, road, and air, a
conducive business environment, and the ease of doing business.
Accompanied by CGM, IPICOL the Japanese delegation visited the Indo-Nissin Factory in
Khordha Industrial Estate.
Indo-Nissin, a popular name in the instant food industry, has been blossoming over the years,
and Mr. Yutaka expressed his happiness at the progress made and the proposed expansion plans
of the company.
The Consul General also visited the Gopalpur Industrial Park , Tata SEZ and various other
facilities during their stay in Odisha.
