Imphal, November 11 2021: One explosive completely wrap-ped in black sellotape was found this morning at the gate of one house at Nungoi Awang Leikai under Lamlai Assembly Constituency.

Reportedly, the house belongs to one Sanasam Juge (75) .

Speaking to media persons, son of S Juge, Sanasam Brojen (46) said that they have no animosity whatsoever with anyone.

Stating that the explosive was found fitted inside a can at around 5.30 am, Brojen added that he informed of the finding to one Sub Inspector of Manipur police whom he knows instantly.

Expressing suspicion that the threat might be politically inclined as he is an active worker of former Minister Kshetrimayum Biren, he urged the perpetrators to clarify the motive of the threat within 24 hours.

Such a threat would only hinder the conduct of free and fair elections, he added.

It is reported that the bomb was defused at around 10 am by the experts of Manipur police and Assam Rifles.

The bomb had three detonators, TNT (Trinitrotoluene), splinter and a safety fuse.
