Sikkim govt launches regularisation policy for Ad-hoc teachers
11 Nov, Gangtok: Sikkim Adhoc Teacher Regularisation policy was launched by CM PS Golay today at an even organised by All Sikkim Ad-Hoc and Temporary Employees Association on the occasion of National Education Day at Saramsa Garden, Ranipool.
“During the event, we released the historic Sikkim Adhoc Teacher Regularisation Policy. The people of Sikkim deserve all the accolades for this policy as their trust and faith in us during the general election has led to this change in the previous system. I also announced the Government’s decision to rename Sikkim State University to Kanchenjunga State University,” said CM Golay.
He added that the education sector is a priority and despite the pandemic, the government has brought several changes and improvements “without any compromise”. He said NIT, Khamdong, Netaji Subash Chandra Bose University of Excellence are prime examples of the Government’s dedication to making Sikkim an education hub in the country.
“We have constantly provided a budget to the education department to achieve our goal of creating and providing world-class education in the state with utmost priority being given to primary education,” he added.
