Prysmian buys Swiss fibre monitoring specialist Omnisens

Milan-listed cable maker Prysmian said it has completed the acquisition of Omnisens, a Swiss company specialising in fibre-optic based monitoring systems, for a total of CHF 18.8 million. Omnisens was set up in 1999 and has become a global leader in long-distance fibre optic sensing solutions for effective real-time asset integrity monitoring.
