Oi losses widen to BRL 4.8 billion in Q3

Brazilian operator Oi registered a net loss of BRL 4.81 billion in Q3, an increase of 82.4 percent on the same period last year, mainly due to the devaluation of the local currency against the dollar. Routine EBITDA fell 0.2 percent year-on-year to BRL 1.46 billion, for a margin of 32.3 percent (+1.2%). EBIT was positive for BRL 310 million, compared to a negative BRL 255 million a year earlier.
