Taylor Swift glows in a velvet suit at New York premiere of her directorial debut All Too Well... after releasing the 10-minute cut of re-recorded Red
She set fans and critics abuzz with the inclusion of the unearthed 10-minute original version of her song All Too Well on her rerecorded album Red (Taylor's Version).
And Taylor Swift played off the song's acclaim when she arrived at the New York City premiere of a short film she directed to accompany the epic ballad.
The 31-year-old country superstar–turned–pop iconoclast looked chic yet reserved in a gorgeous burgundy velvet suit as she hit the red carpet.

Taylor glowed in the lustrous outfit, which featured eye-catching thick black peaked lapels.
The double-breasted jacket included dual rows of large gold button, and she didn't appear to wear a top underneath the coat.
The 5ft11in hitmaker towered in a set of black Cuban heels and a pair of spike earrings from Melinda Maria.
She wore her dirty blond tresses tied back, accentuating her bangs, though she left long dangling strands to frame her elegantly made-up face.

Take on tailoring like Taylor in a suit by Etro
Taylor Swift is doing the promotional rounds for the rerecording of her Red album and wearing some stunning ensembles in the process.
Here, for example, the superstar singer is wearing a suit by Etro. Crafted from plush velvet, this plum-hued suit is reminiscent of one that walked the Fall 2020 runway show in emerald green. We particularly love the contrast satin lapel detailing and the contrasting gold buttons. These seemingly small details elevate this purple suit to new heights of stylish!
Unfortunately this pant suit isn't available to buy, but you can click the catwalk image to shop Etro's current collection via Mytheresa.
Alternatively, take style cues from queen Taylor and treat yourself to a velvet blazer via the carousel. There you'll find purple picks from the likes of Reiss, Hebe Studio, La Redoute and more.
Well, what are you waiting for?!

Also joining Taylor at the premiere were the stars of her 15-minute chamber drama, Dylan O'Brien and Sadie Sink.
Dylan, best known for starring on the Teen Wolf series and in the Maze Runner films, arrived in a low key look featuring a charcoal sweater with black jeans.
His hair was cut short, and he boasted a thick beard, as he does in the short film.
Sadie, who rose to fame on Stranger Things before starring in Netflix's Fear Street trilogy, showed off her abs with a simple black crop top.
She contrasted it with high-waisted white slacks that reached to the ground, along with a small white quilted Chanel bag.
She had her red locks tied back, with dangling strands framing her face, just like Taylor.

The premiere also had some special guests who were friends of Taylor's.
Dylan was seen hugging Parenthood star Sarah Ramos, who wore a varsity letter with Taylor's initials and the number '13' stitched on her sleeve, which is the singer's lucky number.
Tommy Dorfman wore a muted plaid dress and a black cardigan while styling her dirty blond hair in a bob.
Este Haim, the bassist and occasional singer for the sister act Haim, complemented her pal Taylor with a red velvet dress.

Taylor was seen before the premiere as she was ushered up to the AMC Lincoln Square 13.
The Blank Space singer added a black mask to her look as she entered, though she removed it to snap photos on the red carpet.
She waved to her fans as she approached and was clearly smiling behind her mask.
Although the hitmaker hasn't revealed much about the contents of her short film, but she said Dylan and Sadie 'acted their a**es off' during an appearance Thursday on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
The song is set to be released Friday afternoon on YouTube following the official premiere.

Taylor seemed invested in her costars and said they were essential to making her directorial debut.
'If [Sadie] had said no, I wouldn't have made the film,' she told Seth, while also complimenting Dylan.
The song is widely believed to be about Jake Gyllenhaal, as Taylor wrote it in early 2011, shortly after they ended their short relationship from October to December of 2010.
The song was released in a shortened version on Red in 2012, but Red (Taylor's Version) features a longer 10-minute version including all of the original lyrics, as well as a shorter rerecorded track that's faithful to the album cut.
On Friday, after the rerecorded album's release, fans began speculating that Jennifer Aniston may have been the person described as an 'actress' in the new lyrics, as a New York Daily News story claimed the Morning Star actress gave Taylor a pep talk when they met at the 2011 People's Choice Awards.
