MUMBAI: The
Shiv Sena on Friday came out in support of NCP minister
Nawab Malik and said that he was not alone. Shiv Sena MP
Sanjay Raut also told the BJP that after 2024, their use of central agencies like the ED and CBI would backfire.
Raut also slammed actor
Kangana Ranaut about her recent statements on the country’s independence and said that the Centre must take back all the awards given to her.
“In Maharashtra, the leaders of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government are being probed by the CBI, the ED and the Income Tax (UT) Department as if they were BJP servants. However, after 2024, the situation will change and this weapon will be turned on you. The people of
Maharashtra are watching what is going on in the state. In 2024, the people will show you your place. The chief minister has given his support to Nawab Malik by saying ‘good going’. He has been praised by the Chief Minister, so Malik is not alone in this fight. We are ready to take on anyone," Raut said.
“Kangana has insulted the country. She has a habit of making such statements. Her statement has hurt the feelings of Indians. So Kangana should apologize to the country. All her national awards should be withdrawn. BJP should also clarify its position on Kanganaben's statement,” Raut said.
Shiv Sena leader Dr
Neelam Gorhe also hit out at Kangana. Gorhe demanded that the Padma Shri award given to her should be taken back. “Ranaut's statement is very irresponsible, baseless, insulting the freedom fighters and we condemn it. Ranaut is an actress who makes baseless statements without applying her mind for publicity,” Gorhe said.
