Many mourn Ema Mangi, Abraham Keitang

Imphal, November 10 2021: Several groups and organisations conveyed deep condolences over the untimely demise of Ema Mangi and extended solidarity to the bereaved family.
In separate releases, Ethno Heritage Council (HERICOUN) and Women Association for Socio-Economic Development (WASEDEV) recounted that Ema Mangi led the people in several major uprisings in the state.
The late woman leader also took major role in saving the identity of Khwairamband Keithel, they said and offered prayers for peaceful retreat of the departed soul in the heavenly abode.
On the other hand, several local bodies and associations mourned the untimely demise of Brig (Posthumous) Abraham Keitang MM, commanding officer of Ashiho Chawmai (AC) Battalion, Naga Army, Khurmi Region who passed away on Wednesday.
In a joint statement issued by Chandel Naga People's Organisation (CNPO), Naga Women Union Chandel (NWUC), Naga Students' Union Chandel (NSUC), Naga Chief Association Chandel (NCAC), Japhou Bazar Authority (JBA), Maha Area Chief Association (MACA) and Khurmi Region (KR), a condolence service and candle light vigil was organised in honour of Abraham Keitang.
