Ukhrul's total active cases dip to 11

Ukhrul, November 10 2021: Indicating a declining trend in positivity rate, the tally of active cases of Covid-19 in Ukhrul district has dropped to 11 on Wednesday.
The latest status was updated after three patients were discharged from the isolation ward of the district hospital, even as one positive case was detected on the same day.
According to a report issued by District Surveillance Officer (DSO) Dr Chon, a total of 21 samples were collected from three different locations in the last 24 hours, out of which one sample returned positive.
It said that the latest positive case was reported from Lambui PHC where only one sample was collected during the test.
A total of 12 samples were tested at DHU screening centre and another five samples were tested during contact tracing.
However, none of the samples tested at the two locations returned positive, it said.
Of the active cases, eight patients are being lodged at the UDH Isolation Ward and one at the Transit Camp, Phungreitang.
However, no details of the remaining two patients were released.
The report informed that there is currently no patient at the TK Woodland Covid Hospital, The district has so far recorded 53 deaths due to Covid-19 and referred 28 cases out of the district in the current second wave of the pandemic, it said.
The tally of cumulative positive cases has reached 1862, including 998 male and 864 female patients.
