WindTre activates 5G TDD in Venice, Padua and other localities

Italian operator WindTre said it has activated services using 5G TDD (Time Division Duplex) technology in 8 localities in the northeastern Veneto region, following recent launches in Emilia-Romagna, Sicily, Lazio, Campania, Piedmont, Lombardy and Puglia. The service uses 5G-only frequencies on the 3600 MHz band to achieve higher speeds and capacity even in highly congested areas. It is now available in Venice, Padua, Chioggia, Mira, San Dona di Piave, Castelfranco Veneto, Villafranca di Verona and Rovigo.
