Jakhar targets Punjab Chief Minister over resignation of APS Deol

Chandigarh, Nov 10 (UNI) Reacting on the recent resignation of Advocate General (AG) APS Deol following the opposition by Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu, senior Congress leader Sunil Jakhar on Wednesday said that the ouster of AG has exposed a 'really' compromised Chief Minister.
Targeting Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on the removal of APS Deol as AG, the former PPCC chief, in a tweet said, "The ouster of a competent yet 'allegedly' compromised officer has exposed a 'really' compromised CM."
He said that the recent decision has raised a pertinent question as to "Whose government is it Anyway?
On Tuesday, Congress MLA Fateh Jung Singh Bajwa demanded the resignation of Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa for appointing his son-in-law Tarun Vir Singh Lehal to the post of Additional Advocate General.
Fateh Jung, brother of Congress MP Partap Singh Bajwa, said that the appointment had sent a wrong signal to the people ahead of assembly elections in Punjab.
He said that some ministers, including Mr Randhawa, had criticised the move to appoint his son Arjun Partap Bajwa as DSP in Punjab Police during the regime of Capt Amarinder Singh.
