CtrlS pockets sustainability innovation award

Hyderabad: CtrlS, Asia’s largest rated 4-data center, won the best sustainability award in recognition of its innovations and initiatives in sustainability efforts.

The award was recently presented by KT Rama Rao, Minister of Industry and Trade, IT, E&C and Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Government of Telangana.

Sridhar Pinnapureddy, founder and CEO, CtrlS Datacenter said the award recognizes the innovation and efforts by CtrlS team to eliminate carbon emissions, water recycling, achieving higher levels of energy efficiency, solar deployment, maximum exclusion of plastic from the ecosystem , e. -Recycling and management of waste, eliminating ninety percent of paper use and thus saving trees.

The sustainability efforts by CtrlS eliminated 2,00,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide, 10 million tons of water recycling, 59,795 tons of waste, displaced carbon equivalent to 43,478 cars driven in a year. It operates the largest number of green-scale data centers, certified as LEED Platinum v4 O + M by USGBC.

“The future belongs to such companies that not only create wealth for themselves but are also socially responsible,” said Jayesh Ranjan, general secretary of the Telangana government.
