
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded negative around 11:16AM(IST)on Thursday in a weak market.
Federal Bank(up 0.55 per cent) were among the top gainers.
State Bank of India(down 1.66 per cent), ICICI Bank(down 1.33 per cent), IDFCBANK(down 0.96 per cent), Bandhan Bank(down 0.93 per cent) and HDFC Bank(down 0.83 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.94 per cent at 38658.15 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 171.75 points at 17845.45, while the BSE Sensex was down 526.07 points at 59826.75.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 4 were trading in the green, while 46 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Zomato Ltd., Bank of Baroda and Tata Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Patel Integrat(PP), Monte Carlo Fashion, Silly Monks Entertai, Narayana Hruday and DC Infotech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Priti International, Vikas WSP, Radha Madhav, Unichem Labs and Strides Shasun hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
