
NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 469.41 points down at 59883.41 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Tiaan Ayurvedic & He(down 9.90 per cent), Nureca Ltd.(down 9.88 per cent), Transglobe Foods(down 9.86 per cent), Emerald Leasing Fin(down 9.76 per cent) and United Credit(down 9.72 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 8 stocks traded in the green, while 42 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 146.55 points down at 17870.65.
On the BSE, Tiaan Ayurvedic & He, Bangalore Fort Farms, Narayani Steels, Sharanam Infra and Sun Retail hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Shardul Sec, Monte Carlo Fashion, Narayana Hruday, Econo Trade(I)and Parsvnath Dev. touched their fresh 52-week highs.
