"Lonlhi - The Tears" released

Kangpokpi, November 09 2021: Kangpokpi Assembly Constituency MLA Nemcha Kipgen has released the Kuki feature film "Lonlhi-The Tears" on the occasion of Ningol Chakkouba at Mandap Hall in Kangpokpi town.

The film "Lonlhi-The Tears" directed by Kuki actor Paolien Kom also featured Letlenchung (Boichung Lupho), Thangminlal Haokip, Sishi Touthang, Sana Lienthang and Jessica Chongloi.

The first Neihsiel film production Lonlhi also featured Kakai Mate, Boithem Hangshing, Merina Haokip, Chingte Mate and Kimneilhing Haokip.

The releasing ceremony was attended by Nemcha Kipgen; Paominthang Kipgen, advisor Kuki Film Development Corporation; and Thanglensei Kipgen, chairman Thadou Inpi Kangpokpi District as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Nemcha Kipgen urged the people to work hard and stated that hard work always pays off.

She also lauded Paolien Kom for his efforts in making the film.

The MLA while acknowledging the hardships and grievances faced by the film industry especially among the tribal owing to lack of marketing, exhorted the Actor-Director to maintain quality work.

She also encouraged the Kuki film industry to focus on motivational film, constructive motto-based film, women empowerment, awareness on drugs, etc for meaningful impact in the society and assured all possible assistance in the future.

The actor and director Paolien Kom while highlighting the various hardships and grievances during the making of the film, conveyed sincere gratitude to all his crew members, actors and actresses, technical staff, singers, and everyone involved in the successful making of the film.

He also thanked the local MLA and other guests for their enthusiastic support.
