Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd.(Rs. 7172.30 crore), M&M(Rs. 1563.52 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 1545.00 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 1360.04 crore), RIL(Rs. 1201.27 crore), Bank of Baroda(Rs. 1170.49 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 1140.12 crore), Bharti Airtel(Rs. 1103.82 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1067.62 crore) and HDFC(Rs. 962.00 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 27.05 points down at 18017.2, while BSE Sensex fell 80.63 points to 60352.82.

In the Nifty index, UPL Ltd.(up 3.34 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 3.12 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 3.08 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 2.12 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 1.22 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 3.37 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 3.20 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 2.80 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 2.23 per cent) and JSW Steel Ltd.(down 2.11 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
