Palanpur: Former prince of Danta in Banskantha district, Madhusudan Singh Parmar, was cremated with full honours on Monday in presence of members of the royal family.
The 88-year-old passed away due to old age at his home in Danta. All the markets and shops remained closed in the town to pay respect to the late prince.
Born on May 31, 1933, Parmar was the second son of late Maharana Saheb Sri Bhawani Sinhji. After graduating in history and law from Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU), Parmar made his political debut in 1962 with victory in the Gram Panchayat elections.
