Led by Cristiano Ronaldo, the other two players from Manchester United are midfielder Burno Fernandes and fullback Diogo Dalot. Manchester City have Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias and Joao Cancelo. Coming back to the contest at hand Portugal’s away trip to Ireland in the World Cup Qualifiers is very crucial especially in the context of the group. Portugal are currently second in Group A behind Serbia but they have a match in hand and only a point to overtake.
While an away trip to Ireland won’t be easy as they are no pushovers, Fernando Santos’ men will eager to win and reach the summit of this group. Portugal till now have played six matches in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers and are unbeaten. They have won five of them and one of them ended in a draw. Only Serbia are ahead and it is against them they dropped points in a 2-2 draw.
Fernando Santos’ men will play two World Cup qualifiers matches in the November international break. First, they will make an away trip to Ireland on November 12 followed by a home fixture against Serbia on November 15.
