At least 12 lives were lost when a passenger bus collided head-on with a truck near Rajasthan’s Barmer district on November 10. 11 people were reported to have burnt alive while one victim succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. The accident took place on the Barmer-Jodhpur national highway when the tanker came from the wrong side and hit the bus. Rescue teams were unable to enter the bus even after hours passed, due to the collision-induced fire. Meanwhile, 22 passengers are being treated at a hospital in Balotra for burn injuries.
