(Bloomberg) -- Pakistan’s Supreme Court has ordered Prime Minister Imran Khan to appear in a case related to a major attack by the local Taliban seven years ago amid the government’s move for a peace agreement with the militant group.

Justice Gulzar Ahmed called the premier to question about the government’s probe into the attack on a school in 2014 that had killed about 150 people mostly children, Shahid Hussain, a spokesman for the court, said on phone. A panel of two justices, hearing the case, were critical of the government’s efforts for a peace deal with the militant group, which was involved in the attack, Geo television reported.

The prime minister is likely to appear in the court, Geo said.
