- The body of missing Makhosini Michaek Sehlako has been found decomposing in a garden.
- Sehlako's body was found after his cousin alerted the police about a human hand they discovered in a garden.
- Two men who were suspects in Sehlako's disappearance were arrested in an unrelated case.
The body of a 42-year-old man, who was reported missing, has been found decomposing in a garden in Daggakraal, Mpumalanga.
Makhosini Michael Sehlako was reported missing by his family on 27 August.
According to the police, the family said he was last seen on 8 August.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala said they claimed Sehlako was buried in a pit toilet and that they suspected Sifiso Bhengu and Nkosinathi Nkosi allegedly killed him.
"Police attended to information and with the assistance of the municipality, removed the slab of the toilet, however, nothing was found," Mohlala added.

On Monday at approximately 09:00, Sehlako's cousin told the police she had noticed a human hand in the garden.
"The police attended to the scene and then applied to exhume the body," said Mohlala.
Though the body was decomposed, the brother of the deceased managed to positively identify him as Sehlako.
On 7 August, the police were following up on information about a burglary case which led them to a house in Daggakraal.
Upon arrival, they found a spade and shoes covered in mud.
"In the garden not far from the house, the police also noticed that something was recently buried. When they got in the house they noticed another pair of muddy shoes," Mohlala said.
He added the police became suspicious and searched the entire house. During the search, they found the head of a pig inside a bucket and a room covered in blood.
"Two males were subsequently interrogated about the situation and both alleged that they were slaughtering a pig belonging to Makhosini, who was not present at that moment."
They told the police he was the owner of the house and that he got the pig from relatives.
When the police followed up on the information, they found it to be untrue.
"The two suspects - Nkosinathi Nkosi, 31, and Sifiso Bhengu, 21 - were both arrested for possession of property suspected to be stolen and are still in custody," added Mohlala.
It later emerged Bhengu was wanted in connection with several other cases in KwaZulu-Natal.
