After the successful foray of the Times Network in the Hindi News genre with the mega launch of Times Now Navbharat HD and ET Now Swadesh the group has now announced its plans to launch Times Now Navbharat in Standard Definition on 1st January 2022.
Considering the channel is in Hindi, and coming as it does from the Times Now Network, the SD (Standard Definition) offering will shake up the Hindi news broadcasting space in India.
Slated to go live on 1st January 2022, the Times Now Navbharat SD logo was unveiled by Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah at the inaugural session of the second edition of the Times Network’s Times Now Summit 2021.
On the launch of Times Now Navbharat SD, MK Anand, MD & CEO Times Network, said, “After reigning at the top position in the English News Category we forayed into the Hindi news category. In August, we launched Time Now Navbharat HD, followed by the launch of ET Now Swadesh in October. The two new channels have fared well.
“And now in January 2022, we will launch Times Now Navbharat in SD to take our offering wide. With a mass distribution in SD, we endeavor to take our channel to reach more and more Indians.”
