NOIDA/GHAZIABAD: The air quality in Ghaziabad remained in the ‘severe’ category for the sixth day in a row as the city recorded an AQI of 451 on Tuesday. Ghaziabad had recorded AQIs of 472, 456, 419, 437 and 455 over the past five days.
Out of the four pollution monitoring stations in Ghaziabad, Loni recorded the highest AQI of 469 on Tuesday. Indirapuram registered an AQI of 445 while Vasundhara registered an AQI of 444. The AQI data for Sanjay Nagar was not available.

On the other hand, Noida on Tuesday recorded an AQI of 426, still in the 'severe' category. The AQI on Monday was 412. Out of the four pollution monitoring stations, Sector 116 recorded an AQI of 430, followed by Sector 125 with an AQI of 413 and Sector 1 with an AQI of 410. The AQI data for Sector 62 was not available.

The air quality in Greater Noida slipped into the 'severe' category on Tuesday as the city recorded an AQI of 412. The AQI on Monday was 328 in the ‘very poor’ category. The air monitoring station at Knowledge Park 3 registered an AQI of 387 while Knowledge Park-5 registered an AQI of 429.
Meanwhile, Delhi’s air too was in the ‘severe’ category on Tuesday with an AQI reading of 404. Weather officials said the air pollution level was likely to fluctuate in this manner between the higher end of ‘very poor’ category and ‘severe’ category for the next few days.
