Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.44% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:50AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.

Macrotech Developers(up 1.24 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Oberoi Realty(down 2.81 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 2.56 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 2.43 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 1.49 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(down 0.83 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 1.44 per cent at 548.15 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 91.75 points at 17952.5, while the BSE Sensex was down 305.55 points at 60127.9.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, SAIL, Tata Power and FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd., Lakshmi Finance, Williamson Magor, 3i Infotech and KPIT Tech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Patel Integrat(PP), Vikas WSP, CarTrade Tech Ltd., Radha Madhav and AstraZeneca hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
