The spot begins with the blonde bombshell video chatting with her son - whom she shares with ex-husband Jordan Bratman - as she sits in a backstage dressing room.

Mother and son each hold respective Nintendo Switch devices as they play with each other in real time.

Then her teenage son asks, 'When are you coming home?'

Christina's face is fully made, complete with a glossy, lip-lined pout.

'I'll be there tomorrow,' she assures him before saying, 'We're gonna have game night,' in a sing-songy voice.

He says, 'Bye, mom,' and tells his pop star mother to have fun. Then the mother/son duo exchange I love you's.

Xtina took to Instagram to promote the brand partnership as well. Underneath a photo of her and her kids on the sofa she wrote: 'Nintendo has always had a special place in my heart, and now I get to share this love with my children.

'No matter where life takes us, or how busy we all get, #NintendoSwitch always brings us back together for some quality family time. Excited to share some of our favorite games and ways to play with you all.'

Missing from the domestic ad was the music artist's fiancé Matthew Rutler, whom she's been engaged to for several years.
