Man found stabbed to death near drain in KwaZulu-Natal town

The body of a man has been found near a drain in Cottonlands, Verulam, north of Durban, with multiple stab wounds.

Police believe the victim's body may have been dumped in area.

Spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbele said police had received a complaint of a dead body around 07:00 on Wednesday.

"On arrival at the scene, they found the body of an unknown man believed to be in his 30s, with multiple stab wounds on the abdomen and thighs."

Mbele said the body was found by a passer-by who had informed the police.

"It is suspected that he was killed somewhere and his body was dumped in the Verulam area."
