Imphal, November 09 2021: Chief Minister N Biren Singh has said that the objective of the BJP led Government is to serve the people with commitment and work for the welfare and inclusive development in the State.
The Chief Minister made the remark at the launching function of three days Go to Village (GTV) 2.0 programme organised by District Administration Imphal East at the premises of Takhel Youth Welfare Organisation, Imphal East today.
Speaking at the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the Go to Village mission is an initiative to reach out to the citizens and deliver good governance at their doorsteps.
Mentioning various welfare schemes of the Government, the Chief Minister maintained that the Government is committed to put a smile on people's faces.
With the installation of the BJP led Government in the State, the law and order situation has been improved drastically, he added.
Stating that various stalls of different departments and Banks had been opened at the Takhel Youth Welfare Organisation playground, N Biren urged the people to take full advantage of such GTV initiative.
The Chief Minister mentioned that India is moving ahead with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mantra 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas'.
According to a research report published recently declared Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the World's Most Admired Mass Leader.
N Biren Singh also appreciated the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for developing indigenous COVID-19 vaccine within a short period.
More than 100 crore people have been vaccinated in the country till now, he added.
He urged all the people to get vaccinated at the earliest to prevent the dreaded disease.
N Biren Singh further stated that lakhs of people have been benefited from the welfare schemes implemented by the Centre and the State Government.
More than 8 lakh people have got PMJAY and CMHT cards to get cashless medical treatment in hospitals.
He also added, more than 50,000 individuals have benefited from PMJAY and CMHT in the State.
Later, the Chief Minister assured the people that the Sanjenbam to Yorbung (around 8kms) and Napetpali to Andro Khoibu (around 15 kms) would be repaired and blacktopped soon.
The construction of Community Health Centre (CHC), Napetpali also would be completed soon, he said and directed the concerned officials to initiate the refunctioning of SDO, BDO, Sub-Registrar offices at Sawombung.
Works Minister Th Biswajit said that peace and development prevail in Manipur with the coming of the BJP led Government in the State.
Th Biswajit said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah renamed Mt Harriet in Andaman and Nicobar Islands to Mt Manipur recently considering the 'selfless sacrifices of our forefathers in the Anglo-Manipuri War of 1891' .
During the programme, N Biren Singh distributed assistances under various schemes including smartphones under CM e-Support Scheme, textbooks, uniforms, sports equipments under Education Department, Manipur Start Up Scheme, cards under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) and Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT), Widows' Pension Scheme, Pension, aid and appliances for physically challenged, Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) among others.
Several Ministers including S Rajen Singh, Vungzagin Valte, O Lukhoi, Rajya Sabha MP Maharaja Leishemba Sanajaoba, Advisor to CM Th Shyamkumar, MLAs Y Erabot and N Indrajit, Adhyaksha Imphal East Zilla Parishad P Bimola, Chief Secretary Dr Rajesh Kumar, Addl Chief Secretaries, Commissioners and other top civil and police officials were present during the function.
