    Stock market update: Nifty Bank index falls 0.82% in a weak market

    The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.82 per cent down at 39047.4.

    Nagaraj Shetti, Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities, believes Monday's pattern could be considered as a High Wave, which reflects high volatility in the market at swing highs.
    NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded negative around 10:24AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.

    Bandhan Bank(up 2.38 per cent), RBLBANK(up 1.17 per cent), IDFCBANK(up 0.67 per cent) and Federal Bank(up 0.29 per cent) were among the top gainers.

    IndusInd Bank(down 2.17 per cent), ICICI Bank(down 1.3 per cent), State Bank of India(down 0.88 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.8 per cent) and AU Small Finance Bank(down 0.79 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

    The Nifty Bank index was down 0.82 per cent at 39047.4 at the time of writing this report.

    Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 88.35 points at 17955.9, while the BSE Sensex was down 293.48 points at 60139.97.

    Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 33 were in the red.

    Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, SAIL, Tata Power and FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

    Shares of FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd., Lakshmi Finance, Williamson Magor, 3i Infotech and TCPL Packaging hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Patel Integrat(PP), Vikas WSP, CarTrade Tech Ltd. and AstraZeneca hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
