Five jungle cat cubs were rescued after the sugarcane farmers stumbled upon the tiny cats while harvesting their crops. IFS officer Parveen Kaswan posted on Twitter the visual story of rescuing 5 baby jungle cats successfully. All were so small that they could not survive without their mother. So they were reunited with their mother with all efforts from the forest department. The area was cordoned off. Where they were found, villagers decided to stop harvesting for the time being. Camera traps were established in the area carefully. Teams and villagers were stationed for the night near the location. So that the cubs can be monitored and no disturbance occurs. The harvest season witnesses higher instances of jungle cat sightings because the farmers move into the fields to cut down the long sugarcane stalks. The season often coincides with jungle cat cub season.
