By now you must have become familiar with Harekala Hajabba. Hajabba a 68-year-old fruit seller from Mangalore in Karnataka, built a primary school by selling fruits. Harekala Hajabba received India's fourth-highest civilian award, the Padma Shri from President Ram Nath Kovind. With no formal education at all, Hajabba fought tirelessly to build a school in his village. A man of simplicity Harekala Hajabba requested the government to sanction a PU college in his village Harekala.
