This year, Ningol Chakouba 2021 was organized by the members of Nawa Marup, Pune on 7th Nov 2021 at the premises of Club House, Marvel Zephyr, Kharadi, Pune. The gathering was decorated with invited guests from different part of Pune including many those who are married to Maharastrains, Gujartis, Punjabis, Assamese, etc.

This festival strengthens the bond of love & affection amongst parents and daughters, brothers and sisters, and friends and also help in promoting the co-existence and social bonding by reaffirming the faith in traditional values of love and protection of people irrespective of caste and creed. Families arrived to the venue with Ningols carrying the Athenpots, in their best traditional attire.

Nawa Marup, Pune organised the event with a grand meal of Manipuri cuisines like nga atoiba thongba, nga ataoba thongba, uti, eronba, singju, chakhao, kheer, etc. The Pibas served the Ningols during the meal, then gifts were handed over to the ningol, ima, leishabi and angang. The Ningols gave their blessings to all the Pibas for a happy and prosperous life ahead.

During the program, the official social site for Nawa Marup Pune was launched. The gathering was concluded with lots of entertainment programs, songs, lucky ningol contest, etc. Everyone enjoyed the gathering and expressed that its indeed a great blessing to all the Ningols that such a grand gathering on auspicious Ningol Chakouba was organised by the Pibas of Nawa Marup.

Ningol Chakouba organized at Pune

Nawa Marup, Pune was established in 2018 with families from Manipuri origin staying in and around Pune. The sole aim of the Nawa Marup is to encourage and cultivate the aged old traditions and cultures into the young mind of the kids of Manipuri families staying far away from their hometown.

Nawa Marup appreciated the services of Sendra Catering Pvt Ltd, Pune for providing the delicious Manipuri delicacies and also congratulate the winner of Lucky Ningol of the gathering, Mrs Roshini Meisnam. Nawa Marup, Pune wishes a Happy Ningol Chakouba 2021 to all.
