NEW DELHI: India reported 10,126 new cases of Covid-19 - the lowest in 266 days - and 332 deaths in 24 hours, a government bulletin stated on Tuesday. India's tally of cases has been pushed to 3,43,77,113 and the death toll has risen to 4,61,389, it said.

The current recovery rate in the country is 98.25%, which is the highest since March 2020.

As many as 11,982 recoveries in the last 24 hours have pushed the total number of people who have recuperated from the disease so far to 3,37,75,086, the Union health ministry said.
India's active caseload stands at 1,40,638, the lowest in 263 days, with a dip of 2,188 such cases. At 0.41%, active cases at present account for less than 1% of total cases in the country - the lowest since March 2020.

The daily positivity rate, at 0.93%, has remained less than 2% for the last 36 days. At 1.25%, the weekly positivity rate has been less than 2% for the last 46 days.
The government also said that a total of 61.72 crore tests for Covid detection have been conducted in India so far.
A total of 109.08 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive, the Union ministry stated, adding that a 59,08,440 doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
