Bengaluru, Nov 9 (UNI) Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu will inaugurate the three-day 2021 Bengaluru Tech Summit beginning from November 17 here.
The 24th edition of the summit is being organised by the Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science and Technology, and Software Technology Parks of India.
The summit will follow a hybrid format.
The theme chosen for this edition is 'DRIVING THE NEXT', highlighting the role of digital and technological innovations which drove and supported growth of multiple sectors in a post-pandemic world.
The event will witness the coming together of global tech leaders, Indian corporates and startups from IT, Deep tech and Biotech, showcasing disruptive technologies, forging partnerships and alliances.
India’s start-up ecosystem is today one of the fastest growing sectors and is ranked number 3 globally.
With an annual growth rate of 12 to 15 percent, the sector is seeing a rising interest from corporate and individual investors.
Today, the startup space consists of 14 per cent women entrepreneurs, and has created more than 40,000 job opportunities with Bengaluru featuring in the world's top 20 startup cities.
IT Minister Dr CN Ashwath Narayan said Bengaluru Tech Summit is today a landmark trendsetter event globally and has become India’s leading technology summit.
Infosys Co-Founder abd Axilor Venture Chairman S Gopalakrishnan said the world increased its dependency on Indian IT during the Covid crisis and the industry came out with flying colors.
"It is essential that industry and tech leaders come together to understand and strategize on the emerging opportunities in the IT field in the days to come. BTS2021 gives the IT industry the platform to present the most recent and upcoming technological innovations in the new normal," he said.
