Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Thani bin Abdullah al-Thani met with United Kingdom’s Minister for International Trade (Parliamentary Under Secretary of State) Ranil Jayawardena in London Tuesday.
Jayawardena expressed his happiness with this meeting, during which they discussed investment opportunities and ways to support the business sector in the two countries, in continuation of the visit of the UK Minister to Doha last month.
He stressed that the relations between the business sectors in the United Kingdom and Qatar are prospering and there are great potentials for their development and strengthening in various fields, which will reflect positively on both parties.
On his part, Sheikh Dr Khalid expressed his happiness at meeting Jayawardena, referring to the common desire to activate joint frameworks and increase the pace of cooperation between businessmen and the private sector in the two countries.
Sheikh Dr Khalid pointed out that the huge volume of investments between the two countries in various sectors reflect the strength of the historical relationship between Qatar and the United Kingdom.
