Team Mysa starts stylishly in the National Amateur Golf League

Hyderabad: Local team Team Mysa and Kolkata’s Cleantek United kicked off their National Amateur Golf League 2021 campaigns on Tuesday in style with victories here at the picturesque Boulder Hills Golf and Country Club.

Tournament favorites Team Mysa won convincingly over Bengaluru’s Mighty Eagles, while Cleantek United nailed the Chennai Hustlers by one point.

Strong winds and slightly cloudy conditions greeted the 96 golfers who completed the first round robin matches to be the best golf franchise team for 2021. Two more league matches will be played over the next two days.

The format of two singles matches and four best ball matches made it a competitive day and players like Shashidhar Reddy and Chinnababu Neerukonda played for their respective teams – Team Mysa and Mighty Eagles with their high quality performances.
Porus Panthers led by Jayant Tagore were beaten by the tournament leaders by 6 points, but many surprises can be expected over the next two days.

Two teams from each group will reach the semifinals and expect a nail-biting final between Team Mysa, Chennai Hustlers and Cleantek United in Group A & Porus Panthers, T Golf Foundation & Eham in Group B before the semi-finals. decided for Friday, November 12th.
