The pregnant woman was sent to her relative’s house in Ayyapanthangal on Sunday. The victim, Jayanthi, an advocate, was nine months pregnant and was alone at her house. After Velachery police received information from a neighbour that her house has been surrounded by knee-deep rainwater, the police team rescued her.
