Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 10:19AM

Sikko Industries(up 4.96%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.80%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 1.65%), Coromandel International(up 1.50%), ZUARIAGRO(up 1.06%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 1.04%), G S F C(up 1.03%), Bohra Industries(up 1.00%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 0.94%) and National Fertilizer(up 0.89%) were among the top gainers.

Aries Agro(down 4.00%), Agro Phos(down 1.97%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 0.42%) and Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 0.35%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 7.8 points down at 18060.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 72.48 points at 60473.13 at around 10:19AM.

Tata Motors(up 2.88%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.59%), Grasim Industries(up 1.52%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.34%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 1.31%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.11%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.06%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 0.97%), State Bank of India(up 0.91%) and Wipro(up 0.72%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Britannia Industries(down 2.9%), HDFC Bank(down 1.05%), Nestle India(down 0.99%), HDFC(down 0.92%), Indian Oil Corporation(down 0.75%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.66%), JSW Steel(down 0.5%), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.48%), Hindalco Industries(down 0.48%) and Reliance Industries(down 0.39%) were trading in the red.
