Euro India Fresh Foods(up 4.39%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 2.04%), Nakoda Group(up 1.94%), Dodla Dairy(up 1.24%), Prataap Snacks(up 0.87%), Parag Milk(up 0.80%), Jyothy Labs(up 0.41%), ADF Foods(up 0.30%), Vadilal Industries(up 0.18%) and Gillette India(up 0.06%) were among the top gainers.
Hind.Foods(down 2.28%), Heritage Foods(down 2.06%), Emami(down 1.96%), Bajaj Consumer(down 1.30%), Dangee Dums(down 1.15%), Marico(down 0.94%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.89%), Nestle India(down 0.86%), Future Consumer(down 0.70%) and Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(down 0.69%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 51.4 points down at 17865.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 187.8 points at 59879.82 at around 10:29AM.
UltraTech Cement(up 4.11%), Grasim Industries(up 2.44%), Titan Company Ltd(up 2.28%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.69%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 1.67%), Shree Cement(up 1.52%), Tata Motors(up 1.41%), Eicher Motors(up 1.4%), Bharti Airtel(up 1.3%) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.27%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, IndusInd Bank(down 11.92%), Divis Laboratories(down 7.94%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.9%), Reliance Industries(down 1.56%), Asian Paints(down 1.5%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.37%), Axis Bank(down 1.17%), State Bank of India(down 1.0%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.89%) and HDFC Bank(down 0.88%) were trading in the red.
