MMA gold medallist Phanjoubam Niranjan accorded warm welcome

Jiribam, November 07 2021: Phanjoubam Niranjan of Kamarang Maning Leikai, Jiribam won MMA striking gold medal and MMA bronze medal in the National MMA & Striking MMA championship-2021 held in Bengaluru (Karnataka) .
The championship was organised by All India Mixed Martial Art Federation from October 29 to 31.Upon his arrival in Jiribam on Sunday, Niranjan was accorded a warm welcome by Leisem Club, Kamarang and All Jiribam United Clubs' Association (AJUCA) and hosted a felicitation function in his honour.
Niranjan, who is the second son of Phanjoubam Dinamani Singh and Pratibha, will now represent India in the Amateur MMA World Championship to be held in Berlin, Germany from December 7 and he is currently undergoing RMX mixed martial arts training under international MMA fighter Roshan Mainam.
He had undergone training in the martial art form at Kanglasha Martial Arts Academy, Silchar, Cachar (Assam) under the guidance of coaches Roshan Erom and Avilash Tongbram.
