When their car collided with a motorcycle in Nilakotai, two persons died, one of them was a child. The Madurai tribe is represented by Kamaraj (20) and Ajithkannan (20). They rode five motorcycles to Kodaikanal with eight of their pals. Last night, they were on their way back to Madurai. Despite the inclement weather, they appeared to be returning at full pace.

Near Silukkuvarpatti shiva Temple near Nilakkottai in Dindigul district, Kamaraj and Ajithkannan crashed head-on with a speeding motorcycle. Kamaraj was seriously injured and died as a result of his injuries. Ajithkannan was thrown from his seat at the back. He was electrocuted after tripping over a high-tension power line on the road. His lifeless body was dangling from a power wire. Nilakotai police have opened an investigation into the event.

Regarding this brutal accident, one of the cops said, "This place is a highly sensitive area and we have already kept several warning boards that it is an accident zone and we have warned the vehicles to drive slowly. But despite all those warnings, they never listen and this accident is a case of over speeding and negligent driving and the guy who was seated at the back was thrown to a height where he has fallen on the high power lines and this shows the speeding the vehicles have crashed upon."
