Yadadri-Bhongir: On behalf of his Medchal Assembly constituency, Labor Minister Chamakuru handed over Rs 3.1 crore to Yadadri Temple’s Executive Officer, N Geetha, on Monday for a donation of seven kg of gold for Vimana Gopuram’s gold plate. Along with elected representatives from his constituency, Malla Reddy arrived at the temple wearing a cash container on his head. He handed over the cash to the temple EO at Yadadri Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple (Balalayam).
Malla Reddy said at the event that on behalf of his constituency, 11 kg of gold would be donated for gold plating by Vimana Gopuram. He reminded that Rs 1.85 crore was handed over to the temple EO on 28 October for three kg of gold for the purpose. The cash for the remaining one kg of gold will soon be donated to the temple EO, he added.
