How many of you stand while drinking water? 

Most of us do it every day. There is a reason behind saying that our household adults should always drink water while sitting. Drinking water while standing can cause tension in the nerves, disturb the fluid balance, and cause indigestion. ayurveda also recommends not to drink water while standing. According to ayurveda, when you stand and drink water, it goes to the lower part of the stomach and it does not provide you with nutrients.

Swallowing fast - Many times we are in a hurry or thirsty, so we swallow water quickly. This can lead to the accumulation of contaminants in the kidneys and bladder. Drink a little bit of water for better digestion.

Drinking more water than needed - No evidence that drinking extra water has health benefits. Excess water can lead to hyponatremia, also known as water intoxication, which causes sodium levels to rise too low, resulting in brain inflammation, seizures, and coma.

Do not drink water before meals - Many weight-loss diets recommend drinking water before meals so that you will eat fewer calories. But according to ayurveda, this is not the right action. ayurveda says that one should have 50 percent food, 25 percent water, and 25 percent empty in the stomach for digestive function. Drinking water before eating can deprive you of nutrients and affect digestion. It can also cause nausea and constipation.
