1. Gentefied season 2 (November 10)

Adapted from the 2017 Sundance digital series of the same name, this bilingual series follows three Mexican-American cousins as they strive to chase the elusive American dream. Their efforts eventually endanger that which they most cherish, including their immigrant grandfather and the family taco store. The show touches upon important themes of family, community, love, identity and class, alongside the displacement that obstructs it all.

2. Happiness Ever After (November 10)

A sequel to the 2016 romantic comedyHappiness is a Four-letter Word, this film picks up four years after the events of its predecessor play out. We accompany the trio of leading ladies on another journey of introspection and evolution as life presents them with fresh obstacles. Set in Johannesburg, the narrative focuses on these successful black professionals as they grapple with relatable issues centred around relationships, parenting and family.

3. Passing (November 10)

Passing examines the lives of two black women—Irene Redfield (Tessa Thompson) and Clare Kendry (Ruth Negga)—who can “pass off” as white but prefer to live on opposing sides of the colour spectrum in New York during the 1920s. When a fateful rendezvous throws these former childhood friends back together, Irene unwillingly allows Clare into her life, intertwining their existence to uncomfortable levels. The film, adapted from its 1929 namesake novel by Nella Larsen, uses the concept of "passing" to dissect the illusion of the realities people create for themselves and the deceptions they embrace to sustain it.

6. Home Sweet Home Alone (November 12)

An official remake of the 1990 comedy classic, Home Alone, this film reimagines the holiday heist adventure for a modern-day audience. When 10-year-old Max is left behind by his family, who are headed to Tokyo on holiday, his ecstasy knows no bounds. However, his solitary, fun-filled holiday soon turns into a dangerous mission of defending his house when burgling couple, Pam and Jeff Fritzovski, show up to steal an invaluable family heirloom.

7. Jungle Cruise (November 12)

Inspired by a Disney theme park ride of the same name, Jungle Cruise follows siblings Lily (Emily Blunt) and MacGregor Houghton (Jack Whitehall) on their quest to discover the ancient Lágrimas de Cristal—a legendary tree whose flowers supposedly have magical healing powers. The duo travels to Brazil and hires steamboat captain Frank Wolff (Dwayne Johnson) to be their guide on this perilous journey. Unbeknownst to them, however, an ancient curse and a formidable enemy stand in the way of their success.

8. Red Notice (November 12)

An Interpol-issued Red Notice—the highest level of arrest warrants—forces FBI’s high-profile agent, John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson), to team up with the world's second most-wanted art thief, Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds), as they hunt down the world's most-wanted art criminal, The Bishop (Gal Gadot). Hartley soon finds himself entangled in an elaborate heist that takes him on a globetrotting adventure featuring secret prisons and lush jungles as he struggles to complete his toughest assignment to date.

9. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (November 12)

The 25th entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this film narrates the tale of the titular character as he is forced to confront a past he has spent his life running from. Shang-Chi, after being raised as an assassin, escapes and lives as a nobody in San Francisco under the alias, Shaun. Years later, his father Wenwu, the leader of the Ten Rings organisation, recruits him and his sister Xialing to search for a mythical village with an ancient history. Upon realising that Wenwu's mind is being meddled with, Shang-Chi has no choice but to take up arms against him.

10. Special Ops 1.5 (November 12)

A spin-off to the 2020 espionage thriller Special Ops, this show takes a deep dive into the origins of Kay Kay Menon's character, Himmat Singh, and travels back in time to his initial days as a RAW agent. Set in 2001, after the Indian Parliament attack, Special Ops 1.5 shows the agency confronted with another case that threatens national security. When the government's top officials are honey-trapped into leaking important information, Singh is tasked with apprehending the man behind the operation.

11. Squad (November 12)

Danny Denzongpa's son, Rinzing Denzongpa, makes his acting debut as Special Task Force commando, Bhim Rana, in this action thriller. The plot focuses on the granddaughter of a celebrated scientist who holds the blueprint to a deadly cyborg programme. Special Forces of multiple countries are tasked with hunting the child down, but Rana is assigned to protect her. What starts off as a job soon turns into a personal mission for the commando when he forms an emotional bond with the girl.

12. The Shrink Next Door (November 12)

Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd star in this dark comedy series inspired by a podcast of the same name which is based on true events. Depicting a seemingly normal relationship between a psychiatrist and one of his long-term patients, all seems well when you start watching The Shrink Next Door. However, things start getting creepier when the former starts manipulating the latter, taking over his life. It isn't long before this dynamic transforms into an exploitative one filled with misdirection and dysfunction.
