ROHTAK: Former
Haryana home minister and senior Congress leader Subhash Batra and party CLP whip and Rohtak MLA B.B Batra slammed BJP’s Rohtak MP Arvind Sharma for using inflammatory statements of ‘gouging eyes and chopping hands’.
Subhash Batra said it was chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who had given a call to pick up sticks and now its Rohtak MP Arvind Sharma threatened to ‘gouge eyes and chop hands’. This indicates that the saffron party was planning to ‘riot’ and create wedge in society, he added.
He also alleged that such statements were being delivered by BJP leaders to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere of Haryana and to provoke the public into taking their positions based on their caste in support of their political leanings. He cautioned the public to remain wary of BJP leaders statement in the larger interest of society.
Meanwhile, Rohtak Congress MLA and CLI whip Bharat Bhushan Batra said that BJP has crossed all limits in democracy in the intoxication of power. Batra said that such indecent statements from a four-time MP are disgraceful and he should apologize on public platform.
On the allegations of confining BJP leaders for about seven hours on former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, MLA Batra said that it was wrong to use temples for conducting political events.
